Again happy with this second print. Because of the decision
to screen print it has lost some of the ink detail in the people but they still
hold the figurative and spontaneous quality. The prints narrative is about the
travel between the country the people are fleeing to the place where the young
Somalian refugee said she would like to live in the future. This image takes a
lighter approach on a difficult subject of fleeing from one country to another.
I have managed to work the river into the image and it now seems to work as a
nice contrast to the smaller details of the image. It has allowed me to play
with scale more. One critique is the line above where the river starts, this could
have been rounded off. It would have helped the impression that there is no
border to the image.
