Self - led workshop plan change.

Due to time and finical constraints I am unable to run three workshops, so unfortunately I just did the one I ran on the 28th. Time is becoming tight as it took a long time (2 months) for the sessions to be set up and organised , also the extra project I did with the council did take a few weeks too. I am become slightly conscious that I haven't yet started adding all this to my essay and I would like in addition to the collaborative practical work to come up with my own individual practical research from the conversation I have had with the participants/ clients. So I time to developed and write all the conversations and workshops up. It is also a shame to drop the paper bird project idea. Looking back this was very ambitious idea and in order for this to of happened, the workshops would have needed a steady and regular attendees which cannot be guaranteed with this group of people. Also development time would have need to have taken a few months in order to creating something that is of a high quality and could have been used by the council. Finical constraints come from me having to pay the transport costs for the participants to get to uni. It cost around £20 for transport the family who attended the workshop on the 28th and being a student on a limited budget, this over a number of weeks would have cost quite a bit , this excluding other families who may of attended to. In order for this aspect to work , involving another charity , opening it up to their clients and asking for funding may have worked , but this also have increased the projects size. I could also put this down to me having a lack of experience with work with external clients. If I'd have been more business wise at the start of the project in August I could have put my foot down more and negotiated with the council about funding. However all this has not been wasted as I have gained vital knolowege about how working with external clients can be, what to consider and negotiate with clients. Also more importantly when to make calls on ideas that are not going be acheiveable in the time frame given.
